Abaco's southwest-shore corpse-by-palm map begins a separate Salt Lagoon treasure route. Before sailing, check the crashed-boat letter and the shipwreck's money chest and Tattered Sails as independent local pickups. The Serpent Figurehead reward is at Salt Lagoon, not in Abaco's wreck.
- Use 582, 808 only as Abaco's island anchor. At the southwest shore near 581, 804, confirm the map from the corpse against a palm; look for the separate letter beside the crashed boat.
- At the nearby shipwreck, plan a surface return before diving. Check the money chest and Tattered Sails by their own current marker and result; one does not prove the other was taken.
- Only after the map is in inventory, follow its sketch to Salt Lagoon's tallest beach rock near 719, 607. Verify the buried Serpent Figurehead reward there, not on Abaco.

The Abaco clue moves your next destination, but the wreck is not part of the buried treasure route. Different inventory families are the safest way to catch a false completion.
- Use Abaco's 582, 808 area anchor for orientation only; it is not the location of every shore or underwater pickup.
- Map ownership proves the clue, a named Tattered Sails unlock proves the wreck Secret, and the money chest has its own state.
- The Salt Lagoon dig proves the Serpent Figurehead separately from Abaco's local island result.

- Missing figurehead: open the two-island treasure route, not Abaco's wreck, and verify the Salt Lagoon chest.

No. Abaco's southwest-shore skeleton near 581, 804 gives the map. Carry that clue to the tallest beach rock at Salt Lagoon near 719, 607, then confirm the Serpent Figurehead from the buried chest in the current save.
What is inside Abaco's shipwreck?
The current Abaco route lead separates an ordinary money chest from a Tattered Sails Secret in the wreck. Plan an air-safe return, check both active markers, and verify the sails by name before leaving.
Where is the other Abaco shore Secret?
Look in the sand beside the crashed boat for the Peter Beckford the Elder letter. It is separate from the corpse-against-palm treasure map, so check the named letter and map ownership independently.
