Current Resynced route references place the Tortuga rowboat skeleton near 851, 352, the warehouse key at a western banana crate, and the stela on the island's west side. Use the current save's markers and named rewards as proof; this is not a first-hand route test.

Recover the missing lane without repeating the island
The eastern beach gives a clue, the western warehouse gives a painting, and the western pillar gives a Mayan Stone. None of these is the Matanzas buried plan.
A Tortuga marker or reward is still open
If the rowboat skeleton is empty, check whether the Tortuga map is already owned before searching another beach. If the warehouse is locked, recheck the banana-crate key on the western plantation and the present guard line. If the stela remains open, return to its own pillar and collect the revealed stone. If the mortar plan is absent, verify the map first, then take its separate Matanzas dig—not Dry Tortuga.

A Tortuga clue can be complete while the Jackdaw upgrade route remains open. The plan is not a local island collectible.
- Before sailing, verify the beach map in treasure inventory; map ownership is the prerequisite for the Matanzas waterfall check.
- At Matanzas, inspect the separate buried chest and read Mortar Storage Ultimate Plan by name before checking the harbourmaster menu.
- If the ship still has a mortar problem after the plan, compare ammunition capacity with mortar damage and the current upgrade prerequisites.

The banana-crate key opens a painting route, while the nearby western pillar advances the 16-stone chain. Their icons and results do not merge.
- Check the warehouse key and Map of the World painting before calling that compound done.
- Check the Mayan Stone after the stela's alignment and reveal interaction; an opened warehouse does not increment the stone chain.
- Keep the north-palm letter and house-side manuscript as named Secret checks, not as substitutes for either west-side result.
Common Questions
Does Tortuga's rowboat map give Mortar Storage on the island?
No. Take the map from the eastern-beach skeleton near 851, 352, then use its sketch for the separate Matanzas waterfall dig near 312, 617. The named Mortar Storage Ultimate Plan belongs to the opened Matanzas chest, not the Tortuga map pickup.
Where is the Tortuga warehouse key for Map of the World?
Check the banana crate on the western plantation, near the guarded warehouse route. Confirm the key and current guard line before entry, then verify Map of the World in the painting collection; a beach map or money chest cannot replace it.
Is the Tortuga Mayan Stela the same as the warehouse reward?
