Cumberland Bay → Pinos Isle · clue to buried plan

Keep the map pickup, Pinos dig and Ivory Wheel result on separate route legs

The Cumberland Bay skeleton is the clue stop; the buried chest is on Pinos Isle. A route note with 679, 371 or 335, 480 can pull you toward older coordinates, while Pinos Isle's own treasure map runs the opposite direction. Read the inventory first, then sail only for the unfinished leg.

  1. Inventory · choose the missing leg

    Do this

Open the treasure-map list before leaving port. If the Cumberland Bay clue is already present, skip the skeleton and set Pinos Isle as the destination; if it is absent, keep the map pickup as the first stop.

    Compare clue routes
    Look for

The intended clue is recorded in inventory before the long sail to its solution.

    If it does not work

If the map name or sketch differs, do not guess from a coordinate. Read the map title, compare the drawing, and keep only the unresolved pickup or dig leg open.

  2. Cumberland Bay · southern-shore skeleton

    Do this

For a missing clue, use the southern shoreline around 648, 345 as the pickup lead and look for the skeleton. This point starts the Pinos Isle route; it is not where the buried reward is dug.

    Check Cumberland Bay markers
    Look for

The map appears in the save and its drawing can be reopened after leaving Cumberland Bay.

    If it does not work

If the shoreline is already clear, check the inventory before repeating the sweep. Treat 679, 371 as an older coordinate lead and use the live marker for the current approach.

  3. Pinos Isle · viewpoint-temple grass

    Do this

With the clue owned, follow its sketch to Pinos Isle around 304, 455. Search the grass at the north-west corner of the temple with the viewpoint and use the present shovel prompt as the final locator.

    Open Pinos Isle map checks
    Look for

The map sketch, island marker and dig prompt all point to the same temple-side patch before the chest is opened.

    If it does not work

If the prompt is absent, reopen the clue and make sure this is the Cumberland Bay map, not Pinos Isle's own map to Cayman Sound. Do not substitute the old 335, 480 lead.

  4. Reward · Ivory Wheel plus Reales

    Do this

After the chest opens, read the reward screen and check the ship-plan menu for Ivory Wheel Design Plan; the route is associated with a 3,000-Reales payout as well.

    Check ship-plan use
    Look for

Ivory Wheel is recorded by name and the save shows the chest payout; map ownership alone is not completion.

    If it does not work

If money appears without the plan, check the reward log and plan menu before sailing again. Keep a missing named plan separate from a completed clue pickup.

Before you leaveLeave the route only when the correct map is identified, the Pinos Isle dig is opened, and Ivory Wheel Design Plan appears by name. If one state is missing, save that leg instead of repeating the completed voyage.

Route Plan

Cumberland Bay skeleton → Pinos Isle temple grass → Ivory Wheel

This is a two-island route: the Cumberland Bay southern-shore skeleton near 648, 345 supplies the map; the buried chest is on Pinos Isle near 304, 455 in the grass at the north-west corner of the temple with the viewpoint. Treat each coordinate as a separate leg and use the live sketch and dig prompt before interacting.

  1. Check the treasure-map inventory before sailing. If the clue is missing, use Cumberland Bay's southern-shore skeleton near 648, 345 as the pickup lead; that is not the Pinos Isle dig.
  2. With the map owned, sail to Pinos Isle and use 304, 455 as the dig lead: the north-west corner of the viewpoint temple, in the grass. Match the sketch and live shovel prompt before interacting.
  3. After opening the buried chest, read the reward screen for the Ivory Wheel Design Plan and 3,000 Reales. Do not treat map ownership or money alone as proof of the plan pickup.
  4. If a route note shows 679, 371 or 335, 480, treat those as older coordinate leads rather than current Resynced markers; follow the live map and clue sketch.

When a route note shows 679,371 or 335,480

When a route note shows 679,371 or 335,480

Older coordinates can be useful when explaining why a player arrived at the wrong beach or patch, but they should not replace the current Resynced clue and destination leads.

  • 648,345 is the Cumberland Bay pickup lead; 304,455 is the Pinos Isle dig lead.
  • Keep clue inventory and shovel prompt as separate checks; do not test a dig coordinate before confirming which map is held.
  • If the live map or sketch points elsewhere, follow the save and record the discrepancy before another full sweep.

Do not reverse the Pinos Isle map

Do not reverse the Pinos Isle map

Pinos Isle is both the destination for this clue and the pickup area for a different map. The route direction and reward are decided by the map sketch, not by the shared island name.

  • Cumberland Bay clue → Pinos Isle temple grass → Ivory Wheel Design Plan.
  • Pinos Isle clue → Cayman Sound northeast shore → a separate 4,000-Reales map result.
  • Kingston warehouse clue → Cumberland Bay rowboat shore is another route again.

Close the named reward before leaving

Close the named reward before leaving

A chest opening and a money payout do not tell you whether the plan was added. Use the name to decide whether to open the ship menu next.

  • Read Ivory Wheel Design Plan in the reward screen or plan list.
  • Check the 3,000-Reales change separately from plan ownership.
  • If the plan is already owned, record that fact and move to the next Jackdaw need instead of repeating the dig.

Common Questions

Where is the Cumberland Bay map for the Pinos Isle treasure?

Check Cumberland Bay's southern-shore skeleton near 648, 345 for the clue. Read the treasure-map inventory after pickup; the map clue and the Pinos Isle chest are not the same stop.

Where do I dig for the Cumberland Bay map on Pinos Isle?

Use 304, 455 as the Pinos Isle dig lead, at the north-west corner of the temple with the viewpoint in the grass. Match the map sketch and the current shovel prompt before searching other ruins.

Are 679, 371 and 335, 480 the current Resynced route coordinates?

No. Those numbers appear in older route notes. The current Resynced route lead uses the Cumberland Bay pickup near 648, 345 and the Pinos Isle dig near 304, 455; follow the live marker and map sketch in your save.

What should the Pinos Isle chest give for this map?

The route is associated with Ivory Wheel Design Plan and 3,000 Reales. Check the reward screen and the ship-plan menu by name; owning the map or collecting money alone does not prove the plan was added.

Is this the other treasure map found on Pinos Isle?

No. This clue starts in Cumberland Bay and ends on Pinos Isle. Pinos Isle's separate skeleton map points back to Cayman Sound, so compare the map title and sketch before choosing a route.
