Misteriosa · two-pillar diagnosis
At 1/2, change pillars—not the finished puzzle
Misteriosa has two Mayan Stones. The ruin-side pillar uses rocks below as its pattern reference; the southwest pillar uses rocks and pillars on a wall. Record each pickup before leaving either side of the island.
Identify the missing side
Do thisCheck the local stela result before moving. If one Mayan Stone is already recorded, compare the ruins overlooking the island with the separate southwest pillar and travel to the unsolved interaction.
Track the stone countLook forYou can name the remaining pillar instead of repeating the one that already produced a stone.
If it does not work
If the map only shows a broad island marker, inspect the two pillar sites in the current save. A treasure map, manuscript, or chest does not change the stela result.
Ruin-side pillar
Do thisClimb the pillar beside the ruins overlooking the island. Align the highlighted white-line area with the rock formations below, then collect the revealed Mayan Stone. The treasure-map skeleton below this first pillar is a separate pickup.
Check the ruin markerLook forThe ruin-side stone is collected; a still-open 1/2 result points to the southwest pillar.
If it does not work
If the pattern does not reveal a spot, recheck the rocks below from the active pillar. Do not copy the southwest wall alignment or treat the skeleton's map as the stone.
Southwest pillar
Do thisMove to the southwest side for a second pillar. Match this puzzle's highlighted area to the rocks and pillars on the wall, then take its own revealed Mayan Stone.
Verify 2/2Look forBoth distinct stones are in the save and Misteriosa's local stela result reads 2/2.
If it does not work
If progress remains 1/2, verify that the wall-side pickup was taken after the alignment. Return to the ruin-side pillar only if its own stone was not recorded.
Three nearby results, two of them stones
Before you leaveConfirm two Mayan Stones and the island's 2/2 stela result. Leave the skeleton's treasure map and Misteriosa's Heavy Shot plan on their own ledgers if either is still open.
Player workbench
Find which of Misteriosa's two Mayan Stelae remains when the island still reads 1/2.
The overlooking-ruins and southwest pillars have different alignment references; the treasure map below the first pillar is not another stone.
Why this entry is useful
Use a two-pillar result check to choose the missing side, solve against its own rocks, and confirm two separate Mayan Stones.
The ruin-side puzzle uses rock formations below; the southwest puzzle uses rocks and pillars on a wall. Neither guide establishes a fixed camera angle, so confirm the live pattern and each pickup in this save.

Both revealed Mayan Stones are collected and Misteriosa's local stela result reads 2/2.
What are you trying to do with this entry?
Choose one decision and follow 3 checks in order.
- Stone chainCheck whether the stone from the overlooking ruins is already recorded. At that pillar, match the highlighted area to the rocks below and collect the revealed stone; the treasure-map skeleton below is separate.
- Island packetAt Misteriosa's southwest pillar, use the rocks and pillars on the wall as this puzzle's reference. Collect its own revealed Mayan Stone instead of copying the first alignment.
- Local counterVerify the island's 2/2 stela result and keep the skeleton's map and fountain-side Heavy Shot plan on separate completion lists.
Start with the first check above and keep the confirmed area, marker, or objective beside the next move.

Locate the other pillar before adjusting a solved puzzle
The ruin-side and southwest alignments are separate interactions. The first references rocks below; the second references rocks and pillars on a wall. The skeleton's treasure map below the ruins is not a Mayan Stone.
Misteriosa still reads 1/2
If the count stays at 1/2, compare the last confirmed stone with the two pillar sites. Return to the ruin-side rocks only if that stone is missing; otherwise move southwest and align to the wall reference. If a pattern revealed a spot but the count did not move, revisit that pillar's ground pickup before sailing. Do not substitute the fountain-side Heavy Shot dig.
Ruin-side stone → southwest stone → 2/2

Route Plan
Ruin-side stone → southwest stone → 2/2
Misteriosa has two Mayan Stelae: match the first pillar beside the overlooking ruins to the rocks below, then use the southwest pillar's rocks-and-pillars wall reference. Collect each revealed stone and verify 2/2; the treasure map below the first pillar is separate.
- Check whether Misteriosa already shows one stela complete, then select the unsolved ruin-side or southwest pillar instead of repeating the other.
- At the overlooking ruins, align to the rocks below and collect that stone; the skeleton's treasure map below is not stela progress.
- At the southwest pillar, align to the rocks and pillars on the wall, collect its stone, and verify 2/2 in the current save.
Ruin-Side Reference
Ruin-Side Reference
Use the first pillar's view of the rocks below rather than a copied camera angle.
- Find the pillar on the side of the ruins overlooking Misteriosa and start its own alignment interaction.
- Fit the highlighted pattern to the rock formations below; the current game's feedback decides the final view.
- Collect the revealed stone before touching the treasure-map skeleton underneath the ruins.
Southwest Reference
Southwest Reference
The second pillar has a wall reference, so a successful ruin-side view cannot be reused.
- Find the separate southwest pillar and match its highlighted area with the rocks and pillars on the wall.
- If nothing reveals, adjust this wall alignment without assuming a fixed rotation or scale from the first puzzle.
- Collect this pillar's stone and check the island result for 2/2.
Other Island Rewards
Other Island Rewards
The two stones, the map under the first pillar, and the Heavy Shot plan are different outcomes.
- A skeleton under the overlooking ruins can yield a treasure map without closing either stela.
- Misteriosa's fountain-side Heavy Shot dig belongs to a separate clue from Ambergris Key.
- Write down the unfinished reward family before sailing so one completed marker does not hide another.
Common Questions
Why does Misteriosa still show one of two Mayan Stelae?
Misteriosa has two separate pillars: one beside ruins overlooking the island and another on the southwest side. Check which revealed Mayan Stone you already collected, then solve the other pillar instead of repeating the first.
Do the two Misteriosa pillars use the same alignment?
Do not assume they do. Match the ruin-side pattern with rock formations below; at the southwest pillar, use the rocks and pillars on the wall. Follow the current white-line feedback rather than a fixed camera angle.
Does the treasure map below the first pillar count as a stone?
No. The skeleton below the overlooking ruins holds a separate treasure map. Collect each stone from its own revealed ground pickup and verify the island's 2/2 stela result.
