Salt Lagoon to New Bone Treasure Map

First move

Read the map title and inventory first. For Salt Lagoon's own clue, leave only after the northeast skeleton map is recorded and follow its sketch north to New Bone.

Salt Lagoon → New Bone · outgoing map · Maize Deity

Choose the northeast skeleton, not the nearby incoming chest

Salt Lagoon is both a treasure destination and a clue pickup. This board follows only the island's own skeleton map to New Bone; the nearby Abaco figurehead route runs in the opposite direction.

  1. Inventory · identify Salt Lagoon's own map

    Do this

Open the treasure-map list and look for the Salt Lagoon clue. If it is already owned, skip the northeast skeleton and sail to New Bone; keep the Abaco map as a separate incoming route.

    Compare the held maps
    Look for

The held map title and drawing identify New Bone, not the Salt Lagoon beach-rock reward.

    If it does not work

If two sketches or map names are close, keep the route unresolved until the inventory title and destination drawing agree. Do not use proximity alone to choose a dig.

  2. Salt Lagoon · northeast skeleton near 723, 608

    Do this

For a missing clue, check the northeast shore around 723, 608 for the skeleton interaction. Confirm that the map is added before leaving the island.

    Check northeast-shore markers
    Look for

The Salt Lagoon map appears in inventory; its pickup is not the Maize Deity chest.

    If it does not work

A nearby beach-rock prompt around 719, 607 belongs to the Abaco clue's destination. If that prompt appears, recheck the map title instead of counting it for this leg.

  3. New Bone · northern islet near 407, 94

    Do this

Open the Salt Lagoon sketch and follow it to the small island at New Bone's north end, around 407, 94. Use the current shovel prompt to settle the exact patch.

    Open New Bone route checks
    Look for

The clue's drawing, northern-island landmark and live dig prompt agree before the chest opens.

    If it does not work

If the prompt is missing, confirm the Salt Lagoon map is selected and check the north-end islet marker again; do not dig at the clue pickup or use an Abaco route result.

  4. Reward · Maize Deity and 2,500 Reales

    Do this

After the chest opens, check the Art Collection for Maize Deity and read the actual Reales change in the save.

    Check collection progress
    Look for

Maize Deity is present by name; a skeleton pickup or unrelated ship-plan reward does not close the art route.

    If it does not work

If the reward differs, preserve the map title and result screen before repeating the voyage. Mark only the missing art or payout state unresolved.

Before you leaveClose only the state the save proves: map acquired, New Bone chest opened, Maize Deity recorded, and payout checked. The nearby Abaco chest and wreck remain independent jobs.

Route Plan

Name the map → choose the direction → verify the art piece

Salt Lagoon holds two close but opposite treasure-map stops. Its own map comes from a northeast-shore skeleton near 723, 608 and points north to a small New Bone island around 407, 94; the buried reward is Maize Deity Art Collection Piece plus 2,500 Reales. The nearby Abaco clue ends at Salt Lagoon's beach rock near 719, 607 and awards a ship plan instead. Read the held sketch before interacting and verify the named art piece after the dig.

  1. Check the treasure-map inventory before sweeping the shore. Salt Lagoon's own map starts at a northeast skeleton near 723, 608; it is distinct from the incoming Abaco map.
  2. Do not dig at Salt Lagoon's neighboring beach-rock lead near 719, 607 for this route. That is the Abaco clue's destination; this clue travels to New Bone.
  3. On New Bone, use the map sketch to check the small island at the north end near 407, 94, then interact only when the current shovel prompt matches.
  4. Open the chest and confirm Maize Deity in the Art Collection plus the actual 2,500-Reales change. The Salt Lagoon pickup alone is not the completion proof.

Use the map title to decide which way to sail

Use the map title to decide which way to sail

Salt Lagoon receives one treasure route and starts another. The held sketch is a safer compass than a remembered coordinate when both interactions sit on the same shore.

  • Salt Lagoon skeleton → New Bone → Maize Deity.
  • Abaco map → Salt Lagoon beach rock → Serpent Figurehead Design Plan.
  • Underwater shipwreck → local money chest; it is not either map reward.

Keep the collection proof after the voyage

Keep the collection proof after the voyage

A chest opening, Reales payout and named art piece can be recorded separately; the last named item is the useful completion proof for this route.

  • Check Maize Deity in the Art Collection after leaving the dig area.
  • Use the current save's payout, not a rounded estimate from an old note.
  • If one state is absent, revisit only that state rather than repeating the whole island loop.

Common Questions

Where does Salt Lagoon's own treasure map lead?

Is the 719, 607 Salt Lagoon chest part of this map?

No. That beach-rock dig is the destination of Abaco Island's incoming map. Salt Lagoon's own clue begins at a separate northeast-shore skeleton near 723, 608 and ends on New Bone.

Does the Salt Lagoon pickup award Maize Deity?

No. The skeleton gives the map; the named Art Collection Piece is checked only after the New Bone dig and chest reward.
